About Mark Birchall
Finance Director Specialists was set up by Mark Birchall in 2015 to provide expert support and advice to businesses of all sizes across the UK. With a diverse range of skills, covering the fields of finance, people and strategy, he helps business owners have fun, make profits and generate cash.
Mark has worked in many different financial roles, and his wide breadth of experience mean he is uniquely qualified to offer a range of specialist business support services.
Previous Positions Include
- Partner, finance director and group finance director for a satellite group
- Group FD for a jewellery group
- Group FD of a printing group
- Along with many freelance FD positions within SMEs
In a voluntary capacity, Mark is a trustee of Kids Inspire in Chelmsford, a trustee of Age UK Southend and is also involved with Osiligi, a UK charity providing education and repairing broken hand pumps within the Maasai areas of Kenya.
Mark also has a number of industry accreditations issued by respected professional bodies, including:
- FCCA (Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant)
- MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the Open University
- Postgraduate in Business Coaching from Chester University
- Level 1 & 2 Psychometric Assessments from Aston University
CMILT (Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport) - A Xero Diploma
- A Social Media Diploma
- And he is currently studying for another qualification with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
